I'm giving this place two stars because the smoothie was so fresh and delicious and the wait staff were super friendly. This was my first time going to G Zen, the place itself is cozy, clean and very relaxing. The meal was okay.. I started with the chili bowl, it was standard. Next was the " Rueben" sandwich, it's unlike other vegan Ruebens I've had. The tempeh was very thick,soft, moist and tasteless as it was not marinated in anything. I tried to choke it down as it's a 16$ sandwich. But I only could finish a quarter of it. She asked me how it was and I said pretty bad.. she took my plate to the back. The management said oh well. Lol. As a first time customer you would think they would want me to return. I eat out frequently and I could see this becoming a spot, not now! Oh the bread pudding and berry compote is pretty good, but go for the cheese cake!
Absolutely amazing restaurant with a superb dinner, lunch, brunch menu that offers diverse food options. I highly recommend the Zen Burger and the chocolate torte. They also have smoothies, juices, coffee/tea, and alcoholic beverages.
Most amazing food. You just can't imagine how delicious it is until you are there eating it. Pure love in every bite. Most desserts are gluten free! I also enjoyed the turmeric power drink. So many juice and drink options, definitely a place to splurge.
I'm a meat eater, not a veggie or vegan and I was impressed with the meal. My wife is a vegetarian and we brought her there for her birthday. I had the Crabbie Patty which was all vegan. I didn't expect it to taste like crab but there is good texture and a little "kick". It was served on a whole wheat bun with sweet potato fries and home made ketchup. For a vegan meal, I was satisfied. If you are a veggie or vegan, it's a great place for you. If you are a meat eater, there's a couple of dishes that you can tolerate for the pleasure of your other half!
G Zen was simply one of the best vegan dining experiences I have had. Everything was delicious. The staff was friendly and fun, and the cocktails were excellent too. Strongly recommend the bruschetta, and the G Fries are incredible. Can't wait to get back!
